Hi! I’m Giorgos, an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate from the National Technical University of Athens.

My thesis focused on shell benchmarking and was supervised by Prof. Nikos Vasilakis from Brown University and Prof. Georgios Goumas from NTUA.

Right now, I am working as a Machine Learning Research Intern at the Archimedes Research Unit under the guidance of Prof. Evaggelia Pitoura.

I am interested in operating systems, programming languages, and leveraging ML to build high-performance systems.

Beyond my academic and professional work, I enjoy hiking, finding new music to listen to and reading books.

Mar 06, 2026	My thesis, “Characterization of the Koala Benchmarks,” is now available on Artemis.
Jan 13, 2026	Two of our research papers from the Archimedes Research Unit on greenwashing detection have been accepted to the ACM Web Conference 2026: one in the Web4Good track and one in the BeyondFacts workshop.
Dec 12, 2025	Our research on corporate greenwashing detection at Archimedes is now available as a preprint.
Jul 07, 2025	The “Koala Benchmarks” paper has won a Best Paper Award at USENIX ATC ‘25.
Jun 16, 2025	I am presenting GreenRag at the ELIS-MIS workshop in Manchester.
Jun 03, 2025	Our paper with the ATLAS Group at Brown University,“The Koala Benchmarks for the Shell”, has been accepted at USENIX ATC ‘25 – the last ATC ever! 🐨
